Sis Atlass Kaplan

Served as Chair of the Governor’s Crime Commission for N.C. and Chair of the Criminal Justice System of Mecklenburg County. Led the committee responsible for the new courthouse and intake system. Was recipient of the 1994 Mecklenburg County Bar’s Liberty Bell Award. Served on the boards of the Chamber of Commerce, the Urban League and President of the National Radio Broadcasters Association. Woman of the Year 1994.
