Martha Bedell Alexander

Has served in the N.C. House of Representatives since 1992 where she is a leading advocate for children, campaign finance reform and health care service delivery. Served as Executive Director of the Charlotte Council on Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency (1981-93). Was Chair of the Companion Diocese for the Episcopal Diocese of N.C. and a member of the Global Mission Commission for the Diocese. Woman of the Year 1993.
