Edyth Farnham Winningham

Joined the faculty of Charlotte College in 1947 as its first political science professor until her retirement in 1967, when she became Professor Emeritus. Considered an early pioneer at UNC Charlotte for her efforts to create lasting ties with the Charlotte community. Founded the UNC Charlotte University Forum Council. Woman of the Year 1970.
