Jacqueline Butler Hairston

Known nationally as a composer, musician, and producer, arranging for vocalists such as Kathleen Battle and Leontyne Price. A music teacher in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg public schools and an assistant professor of music at Johnson C. Smith University. Featured in Outstanding African American Composers and Music by Black Women Composers. Woman of the Year 1971.
