Tanya Stewart Blackman

Tanya Blackmon is the president and founder of Auspen Consulting, specializing in business and cultural transformation, leadership development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) advisory services. Her clients range from healthcare systems to nonprofits and corporate entities.

Before establishing Auspen Consulting, Tanya held key leadership roles at Novant Health, including president and COO of hospitals, and Executive Vice President, and Chief Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Officer. In the latter role, she implemented DEI initiatives impacting 37,000 employees across 16 hospitals and physician groups, leading to significant market share growth and financial gains. Additionally, she co-founded the Leveraging Internal Female Talent (LIFT) program, in which 45% of participants advanced into higher-level roles.

Actively engaged in civic leadership, Tanya has served on multiple community boards. She co-led the $23.5 million Charlotte-Mecklenburg COVID Response Fund, providing grants to nonprofits assisting those affected by the pandemic. In 2020 she received the Queens University Businesswoman of the Year Award. Woman of the Year 2020.
