Cynthia Blythe Marshall

Founded and directed Communities in the Schools of Charlotte–Mecklenburg, (formerly Cities in Schools), an organization that is part of the nation’s largest dropout prevention network. Was founding President of the Board of the Family Support Center and served on the Child Care Resources Board. Chaired a major child advocacy effort for the Junior League of Charlotte and served as its President. Woman of the Year 1988.

Sally Dalton Robinson

Played a major role in the Mint Museum’s 1985 expansion that opened the Mint to Randolph Road and provided a home for the Harry and Mary Dalton collection of painting and prints. Was Chair of the Board of Directors of the Public Library of Charlotte–Mecklenburg, and later Chair of the capital fundraising campaign that helped finance the uptown Library. Founded and served as first Board Chair of the Levine Museum of the New South. Woman of the Year 1988.
