Freda Hyams Nicholson

President and CEO of Discovery Place Inc. (Nature Museum, Discovery Place, and Museum of Coastal Carolina) from 1981-2000. Was President of the Association of Science – Technology Centers and Chair of the American Association of Museums. Received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Charlotte Convention & Visitors Bureau, Honorary doctorate from Queens College and Outstanding Alumna Award from UNCC. Woman of the Year 1981.
