Jane London McIntyre
Jane McIntyre served as Executive Director of the United Way of Central Carolinas from 2009 to 2014. Leading a new, hands-on board of directors, Jane reinvented the United Way, restoring community trust in the institution that supported health and human service agencies across five counties.
Prior to the United Way, Jane was the CEO of the YWCA of the Central Carolinas. Her nine-year tenure led a major turnaround for the organization, reestablishing it as an invaluable community resource focused on improving the lives of women, children and families.
Previously, Jane was the Director of Special Programs for the Carolinas Healthcare Foundation. Also an elected official, Jane was elected to two 4-year terms on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education and served as the Vice Chair for three years. In December 2014, Jane received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Society award, North Carolina’s highest honor for extraordinary service to the state. Woman of the Year 2014.
