Viola A. Lyles

Worked for the City of Charlotte for 29 years, retiring as Assistant City Manager. Developed Charlotte’s policy to construct 500 units of affordable housing and create new guidelines for awarding contracts to women and minorities. Serves on the boards of Presbyterian Hospital, the Foundation For the Carolinas and as a member of Wachovia’s Southern Region Advisory Board. Woman of the Year 2003.
